A transcript of an interview with Marsha Botzer for the Northwest Lesbian and Gay History Museum Project. Marsha Botzer was born in 1947 in Seattle, Washington and talks about growing up in the 1950s/60s and the feelings and realizations that led to who she is. She explains how it was difficult to detangle gender and orientation and recounts the many therapists and doctors that weren't of help. How she discovered the Seattle Counseling Service and what lead her to found the Ingersoll Gender Center and help others trans people. She included what life was like as a transsexual person at the time and the events going on that influenced it.
