Hannah Jo Stein is a white trans woman from Georgia. At the time of this interview, Stein was living in Minnesota and working as a jazz club host. In this oral history Stein talks at length about being closeted, her life after college, her relationships with her friends, and her work history. Stein is active in the theater community and has both acted and directed shows with 20% Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, and Gadfly Theatre. Stein also touches upon topics including harassment, music, and activism.
