Digital Transgender Archive
CeCe McDonald is a Black-Boricua-Taíno woman from the South Side of Chicago. At the time of this oral history, she was working in Minneapolis as a barista, activist, and social instigator. In this oral history she talks extensively about her early life in Chicago, the prison industrial complex, the matrix of domination, and the TLGB community. She also touches upon trancestory, the stigmas associated with being trans, homelessness, and her experience making the Free CeCe! documentary with Laverne Cox.
