Andrea Lawlor teaches writing at Mount Holyoke College and is author of the novel Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (2017). In this interview, Lawlor discusses growing up in a working-class community in Connecticut, participating in NYC’s queer activist scene in the early 1990s, the current state of trans “fabulist” literature, and parenting as a nonbinary person in Western Massachusetts.
