Billy Lee Tipton, born on December 29, 1914, was an
American jazz musician and bandleader who lived as a man for nearly 50 years. Tipton died on January 21, 1989.
A group of personal and professional photographs of Billy Tipton, including one photo album, four 8x10", two 5x7", and loose photos from albums. The locations of these photos appear to be Roseburg and Medford, OR, Spokane, WA, and Reno, NV. One is labeled "At the Simons Home - Spokane, 1953."
