A clown, sailor, the groom, bride and another character in drag. The cap tally on the only man in uniform in this group names the Royal Naval Division, which was disbanded in 1919. However, the superb drag being worn by the figure lower right is slightly later, circa 1922. This sitter is (or should have been) a professional performer, very beautifully dressed and made-up, and quite convincing as a woman
