Tiq Milan is a Black trans man who grew up in Buffalo, New York. At the time of this interview, Milan was working as a writer based out of New York. In this oral history he talks about growing up in Buffalo during the 1980s, Black families and support networks, and (in his own words) organic masculinity. Milan also touches upon his experiences playing basketball at Niagara University, attending an all-girls Catholic school called Nardin Academy, and working for LGBT+ organizations in New York City. Lastly, Milan shares his thoughts about cyborg futures.
