Digital Transgender Archive
Don Paulson was an artist, author, and friend of the longtime professional female impersonator Skippy LaRue. This collection combines Paulson's research files and LaRue's personal collection of memorabilia from a large circle of friends who performed at a Seattle venue called the Garden of Allah. These included female impersonators as well as strippers, comedians, and other entertainers, many of them trans or gender nonconforming.
