Digital Transgender Archive
The Educational TV Channel (ETVC), which became Transgender San Francisco (TGSF) in 1998, was created to be a “social, recreational and education support group for transvestites, transsexuals, transgenderists and their friends and/or Significant Others” (December 1984). This collection contains issues of the organization’s newsletter from 1984 through 2006. The newsletter generally provides information about events hosted by the organization and other trans-friendly groups and spaces in the Bay Area. Later issues address a wider range of topics and include feature articles through which community members share their experiences.
